A LOOK AT THE MARKET
In the city of Boulder, new listings for single-family homes dropped yet again in August. With low inventory and buyers adjusting to higher interest rates, average prices increased from $1,513,705 in July to $1,668,794 last month. It is taking more time though, days on market now stand at 47.
Across Boulder county, the pattern is the same. Inventory dropped, time on the market increased, yet prices for single-family homes jumped from $1,006,954 to $1,081,777 in August a 12.8% increase over 2021 as well. Prices for condos and townhomes also increased across the board.
Bucking the trend is Longmont where there was a dip in inventory and a slight rise in days on market, yet home prices decreased from $710,355 in July to $675,802 in August.
